Calcium carbonate (the calcium salt of carbonic acid or calcium carbonate) is its chemical formula CaCO3. It is perfectly soluble in acids, but insoluble in ethanol and water. In nature, it is mainly found in the form of granules, chalk, marble and limestone, as well as in the composition of eggshells.
Application of Calcium Carbonate
Purified and crushed calcium carbonate is widely used in various industries due to its versatile properties and low cost.
- Oil and gas industry. It is used as a drilling fluid weighting agent and as a heat-resistant acid-soluble bridging agent.
- Food industry. It is used as an additive E 170 - baking powder, dye and acidity regulator. This supplement is safe and comes from nature. May be included in baby food, cheeses, dairy products, etc. It is produced mainly on the basis of marble.
- Medical industry. In its pure form, not a single drug is produced on the basis of calcium carbonate, it is mainly an auxiliary element. Often found in preparations for heartburn, prevention of rickets, caries and osteoporosis.
- Glass Industry. Calcium is one of the main elements for the production of glass containers, fiberglass and other types of glass. Calcium carbonate is the main source of its production.

CALSIN AB001 is a polyolefin-based masterbatch, highly filled with finely processed calcium carbonate. It is designed for a wide range of applications, especially in polypropylene raffia bags, polypropylene twine and strapping tape, to improve optical and mechanical properties while providing significant cost reduction potential.
This product is suitable for use with a wide range of plastics in contact with food.
CALSIN AB001 is designed to facilitate dilution and homogeneous mixing and is therefore suitable for direct addition using automatic dispensers or by pre-mixing. It can be used in polypropylene bags made of raffia from 2 to 10%, depending on the denier of the tape and equipment.

CALSIN AB006 is especially suitable for films in which, despite the high content of calcium carbonate, it is possible to add more values.
CALSIN AB006 can also be used for injection molding and blow molding.
CALSIN AB007
Product Description
CALSIN AB007 is a masterbatch filler mixture with the addition of calcium carbonate of the extra fine type with a coating and increased whiteness for polypropylene.
CALSIN AB007 contains 77% CaCO3 in polypropylene.
CALSIN AB007 is used for the manufacture of polypropylene bags from raffia with an addition of 10% to 25%, depending on the application.
